Options for reaching the city:
Prices offered by various rental companies range from 20 euros per day (for a multi-day rental off-season) to 50 euros per day for a small car (during peak season). Deposits vary from company to company, no international license is needed. Price levels are not uniform and increase according to demand.
Important to know: In a traffic circle, unlike in Israel, the right of way is for those entering the circle, not those driving in the circle.
It’s advisable to get full insurance (Full insurance) for a few more euros, then you will not be charged a deductible in case of an accident.

Within the city of Rhodes, daytime taxi fare is 5 euros, evening fare is 8 euros (if you ask the hotel reception to order a taxi, they charge a 2 euro fee).
Travel from hotels like Rhodes Palace, Olympic Palace, Sheraton, will cost about 15-18 euros one way. (Taxi drivers are very polite and will not try to overcharge you. Compared to other cities in Europe.)

If you’re coming for a few days and can get a good package in Israel, that’s the best option. If you don’t have a package, you can buy a SIM in Rhodes City at Wind or Vodafone shops for 15 euros – 2 GB internet.
Money can be exchanged at banks in the city at a good rate or at other changers; it’s advisable to check the rate beforehand.
