Welcome to Shabbat at Chabad of Rhodes!

Every Friday evening, after candle lighting and Kabbalat Shabbat prayers, tourists from all over the world gather for a special Shabbat meal at Chabad of Rhodes. This is an opportunity to realize that we are "one people," to see how much we share in common, to rise above the routine, and to discover the hidden soul within us. It’s a chance to recognize the unique essence of our nation and to feel a natural sense of Jewish pride—the power of unity!

Friday Night at Chabad

  • Gathering, candle lighting, and Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat prayers at candle lighting time.
  • Shabbat meal immediately after the prayer service.

The meal includes: Challah, wine, beverages, a variety of salads, fish in an oriental style, side dishes, and roasted chicken or meat.

Shabbat Morning at Chabad

  • Preparation for prayer, a Chassidic lesson, coffee & cake – 9:30 AM
  • Shacharit prayer – 10:00 AM
  • Shabbat meal immediately after the prayer service

The meal includes: Challah, wine, a variety of salads, fish in an oriental style, side dishes, and main courses.

  • Mincha prayer at candle lighting time
  • Seudah Shlishit after the prayer
  • Maariv and Havdalah at the conclusion of Shabbat
